One of the rooms in my house is a shop. How cool is that? Very.

Think about it. In my shop it's okay that the whole place is dusty, the music is turned up loud enough be heard over power tools, you're encouraged to keep your boots on, you can smoke and drink and hit stuff with hammers... well, I'm sure you get the point. It's a very nice place to be.

Any shop day is a good day, but there are signs that it has been a very good shop day:

  1. If you've made so much sawdust that you're sweeping the floor for the second time that day... very good day.

  2. If you're loading five more CDs into the stereo because you've played through the first set... very good day.

It's worth noting that if either of these occur, you probably married the right girl.
